We can find L.C.M. of two or three or more numbers by division method.
STEPS:
1) Arrange the given numbers, in any order, in a line.
2) Divide by a number which exactly divides at least two of the given numbers and carry forward the numbers which are not divisible.
3) Repeat the process till none of the two given numbers are divisible by the same number.
4) The product of all divisors and the numbers left undivided is the required L.C.M (Least Common multiples)
Find the LCM of 65 and 91 by division method.
First we need to arrange the given numbers, in any order in a line, now we need to observe that the numbers 65 and 91 all the numbers are divided by 13, then we carry forward the number 5 and 7 which are not divisible by the same number. So, in the last step the product of all the divisors and the numbers left undivided i.e. 5 and 7 are the required L.C.M.
Therefore, L.C.M of 65 and 91 = 13 x 5 x 7.
= 273
